Gender in Progress is a 12-week process group for people ages 15-17* and is led by therapist intern Kelly Hale, LPCI. The group will begin July 7th, 2020 and will finish September 22nd, 2020. If spots are not full, enrollment will continue to be open until spots are filled; in this case, start date may be postponed for one week. Teens will meet online for 90 minutes each week on Tuesdays from 2:30 to 4:00 PM**. Copays may be waived upon request.
Ideal clients for this group are adolescents ages 15-17* who are transgender, gender-expansive, and/or gender questioning. These clients seek and promote inclusivity, resilience, and connection. This group hopes to create a safe and nurturing space to feel accepted, explore identity, and process feelings of alienation, isolation, sadness, and fear. The group will provide coping strategies and psychoeducational elements to build hope and confidence. Kelly enjoys helping people find their own inner strength, empowerment, sense of self, and joy.
